Notes: Thomas was probably from Alves parish, as there was a Badenoch family there which produced at least two Thomases during the preceding century. The most recent entry in the LDS database is for a Thomas Badenoch, son of John Badenoch, baptized in Alves parish in 1732. However that would have made him 44 years old at the time of the marriage to Elspeth Cobban in 1796.
