Melville United Church Cemetery, Ivan, Lobo, Middlesex, ON, CA
From The Heritage of Lobo: "On June 30, 1854, Walter Clendinin of Norfolk County bought the land for Ivan Cemetery Lot 12 Con 8 originally sold for taxes. It involved 30 acres along the east side of the lot, paralleling the Nairn Road and along the north side paralleling the 9th concession. It was then sold to John Brown. Later on September 18, 1855 John Brown sold the property to the Presbyterian Church. ... On July 19, 1859 Mary Ann McQueen, daughter of John McQueen, was the first burial in Ivan Cemetery. The oldest tombstone in the cemetery is that of Archibald Johnson who died in 1821. However, he had originally been buried in the Johnson family cemetery on the 5th concession and later moved to Ivan when that cemetery was abandoned."
