Notes: [Sheila Gale.GED] SOURCE: Book "Our Village" the story of Dalton le Dale by Ivan Way published in 1963 refers in chapter 5 that the brothers William & John Gale were living in two houses which stood where the present St. Andrews Terrace is. They were attached to the Times Inn Farm and both worked for Mr.W.Robinson who also ran the pub. Elizabeth Gale b.1885 went to be a servant maid to Mr.Robinson in 1898 later to marry Bob Reay of Dalton le Dale. SOURCE: Census 1901 shows John and his family living at 9 William Street, Seaham he is working as a Coalminer/horsekeeper.
