"arterio-sclerosis": This is properly atherosclerosis, congestion of the arteries due to the accumulation of fatty deposits on the lining.

"Hemiplegia" is a symptom of stroke in which one side of the body becomes weak.

"Septicaemia": an infection in which large numbers of bacteria are present in the blood. It is commonly referred to as blood poisoning.
