Margaret McMichael (about 1824—)

Margaret McMichael has no recorded parents. She was born about 1824 in Scotland .1

Notes: When the newlywed Ronald McNeil and Margaret McMichael first appear in the 1851 census, they are residing with Donald and Mary "McNicholl".  Although the hand-writing of the enumerator is clear I suspect that these are actually Donald and Mary "McMichael", the probably parents of Margaret.2

She married Ronald McNeil I speculate that Ronald was a child of Malcolm McNeil, who farmed only 2 lots away from Ronald.  A first marriage for Malcolm McNeil seems likely, because he was 23 years older than Margaret McKellar, whom Malcolm married in 1833.

Ronald McNeil was the son of Malcolm McNeil and Firstwifeof Wifeofmalcolmmcneil. He was born about 1820 in Scotland .3 He worked as a Laborer for Donald 'McNicholl' in 1852 at Mosa, Middlesex, ON, CA .2,4,5,6 He worked as a Farmer from 1861 to 1871 at S ½ lot 20 con 14, Metcalfe, Middlesex, ON, CA .7,1,4,5,6 He worked as a Farmer in 1881 at Metcalfe, Middlesex, ON, CA .3,4,5,6
